We use the more expensive kangaroo leather lace because it is known to be the strongest and most durable of leather laces.
The braiding is done completely by hand which takes hours to do, even on the smallest of projects. Making the cost of labor high.
Kangaroo lace will only be applied to visible areas of the product. See below for individual product details.
Fender bib: Lace will be applied to complete edge of bib. If it has a pouch you will need to order pouch option. The lace will then be applied to the pouch face. The pouch will not be sewn on with the leather lace.
Tank bib small and large: Lace will be applied only to the visible edge of bib, not on the parts that are under the tank, under the console, or under the seat. If it has a pouch you will need to order the correct option. The lace will then be applied to the pouch face also. The pouch will not be sewn on with the leather lace.
Heat shield: Lace will be applied only to the visible parts of the heat shield that do not go under the seat. On the side that the heat shield has a pouch, the lace will only be applied to the flap of the pouch. The pouch will not be sewn on with lace regular thread will be used.
Windshield bag, tool bag, rear crash bar bag: Lace will only be applied to the flap of the bag. All bags will be sewn together with regular thread.
Dog collar: Lace will be applied to the main part of the collar it will not be applied around the buckle or the part of the collar that goes into the buckle as it will interfere with the function of the buckle.
Bedrolls: Lace will be applied only to the center leather part, not the straps, or mounting brackets.
Ball peen hammer carrier: Lace will only be applied to the part that holds the head of the hammer. It will not be applied to the straps or back plate.
